One month in Taiwan
After one month here, after seeing Anton's blog, i decided to do my own. I know I was always talking about a vlog, and actualy i started it, but is too much effort and work, and you know me, I am lazy, I not change that just because I'm here in Taiwan.
For the Brazilians, I decided to write this in English because I fell internacional, and you are not the only who would like to read this. Para os brasileiros, eu decidi escrever em ingles por que o eu me sinto internacional agora, e tambem que muitas pessoas podem querer ler o blog, pessoas do mundo inteiro.
For English speakers, I will try to write this the best way I can, even though I can not do that, i will try for you guys, intrested in my exchange.
Okay, so I'm here for one month now, and alot of fun stuff happened, and in most cases, Anton was with me, so just pretend im talking about him everytime.
Ok so first things first, I took the plane from my city (Florianopolis), landed in Sao Paulo, went 13 hours to Spain, form there, more 13 hours to Beijing, and then finaly, landed in Taipei. Just when i got there, i saw my family right away, they were waiting for me, and the other exchange students that landed with me, but most of them went to another district, so we lost contact.
They picked me up there at the airport, and it was like 32 degrees celcius, and that temperature, was crazy to me, cause in Brazil we have that temperature, but not where I live.
So we went to this chill place, somewhere between my house and Taipei, it was like a big shopping only about food, of all kinds, from fried chicken to Taiwan most weird things. The first day was realy stressing, I was getting out of a 32 hours trip, getting in a foreing contry, beeing awake in my time to sleep, and my family had a welcoming party to me, and thats something I could not miss, even if I wanted to, because it was just downstairs. the party ended around 21:00 here and after that, i sleept forever, until 7:30 that was the time I had to take the ride with Mr.Wine, Caro's host dad to the exchange camp.
In the moment we got there, I started to see, whats an exchange student year is about, I saw almost all of the students there, doing the registration thing, and saw the brazilians right away, because, comparing to the others, they were realy easy to see, at least to me. It was a camp in this college called OCU, where we should learn about the Taiwanese basic culture, what to do and not do in some situations, and about chinese, of course. At most of my time there, I was with the brazilians, because most of them, including me, were still in Brazil, and also we were alot around there. We had 43 exchange students and 12 were brazilians, yea, I always say that, that brazilians are some tipe of sickness, that spreads realy fast, but I still love them.
After the camp, i came back home, on Saturday. At that moment i was realy expecting to got to school as fast as possible, and make some taiwanese friends so we could go around and have some fun around here. That was a dream, that I am still dreaming, I was realy unlucky about my school, because of some bad exchange student from another year, the good school don't want exchange students anymore, so me and my club mates, Caro and Anton, were sended to a professional School, called Shou Shuei Gao Gong, were we have 1600 boys and only 200 girls, and most of them are there to learn a job, so they don't realy have time for us, they want to learn and study, and thats realy bad for me, because I think you learn trying and I can not try alone. Its not a bad school, its a particular Engenering school but that was not what we were looking for.
I tried to ask for a school change, but they said its impossible, only if something realy bad happens, the problem is, when that happens, the student is most likely sended home, so whats the point? Anyways, it is too hard to change school so I will just work on what I have.
The school made a whole schedule for us, so we have a homeroom, but we don't have any classes with them, actualy, we just go there for the lunch. We are having particular basic chinese classes, baking and PE classes. We have others actualy, but I can't realy care about them, because our class is with the mentaly disabled people, and its in chinese, even though is simple chinese, we can not understand, so we just go there, sit, and wait for the next our. I feel that my class mates like us, realy much, but they don't go out here, actualy, most of the people here, only care about study, all they do, the whole day, is study. I bet if I call someone on my class, he will tell me he's studing right now, 22:17. So my friends around here to go out will probably be the exchange students.
I don't realy feel home sick, it only happened once, when I was skyping with my brother and with my friends, back in Brazil, but it was no big deal. The only thing that actualy makes me sad, is seeing other exchange students, in nomal schools, with normal people, or maybe in a bigger city than mine, going out and having fun, something that is realy hard fo me to happend, because my city is not that big, is a good city but is small, and I realy feel bad about my school. But thats something i gotta get used to, because those 2 things are realy hard to change. Saying that looks like my exchange is realy bad right? Yea, I'm likeing very much still, my family is realy nice to me, they talk to me, and give me money for breakfest, made me the favor to give me only "normal" food, the only thing I have problem here, is about the time to sleep, my father told me to go to sleep at 23:00 on weekdays, no excuses, but sometimes i must say that i disrespect this rule, because, in Brazil, my family and friends can only go on the computer when here is 24+ but i think my family undestand that, because they'r doter is in Brazil, and she probably is having the same problem as I am.

All of us are want to be your friend - but our language can not communicate with each other! In Taiwan's schools are learning! Taiwan's educational model with the Brazilian education is not the same!So you will feel very used to!Although you only lunch and PE education courses will be with us all together but we are very concerned about you!You may not be accustomed to Taiwan's food!
